For all of its faults, The Affair is abundantly, compulsively watchable, and that quality thankfully continues in the season two premiere.

The Affair seems to have given up on its more gimmicky leanings-sure, it still has that differing viewpoints thing, but now it's in service of shading in character dimensions instead of confusing the plot.
