In the second season of the series, Da'an appoints Liam as his personal protector during this period, while Zo'or realizes that if the copyist kills Da'an, he will be quickly appointed Commander of the Synod. Things seem to turn out completely when Uyghur clicks on Taelon, and breaks Da'an's connection differently. Now, Da'an retreats to 'Atavus', a prehistoric version of Taelons
