Just when we thought we'd given all the tears we could possibly give, the Thanksgiving episode of This Is Us begged us for more, and we delivered.

But that's what This Is Us does really well. It forces us to sit with those seemingly insignificant moments that become embedded into who we are. Scenes like this make Kate's character real. So real that even when I wanted to turn away, I couldn't.
