The episode, written by Glen Morgan, has plenty of high notes, and a bad guy you can practically smell.

I found it to be very heavy-handed, and another episode where they were trying to do too much.
February 10, 2016
"Home Again" feels like a regular, average The X-Files, which is not a bad thing at all.
February 10, 2016
I'm not sure any X-Files episode this season will match the poignant brilliance that was last week's "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster," but "Home Again" was a solid follow-up.
February 09, 2016
Somebody showed up to do some acting today, and that person's name is Gillian Anderson... Anderson (never a disappointment) stays grounded, raw and real.
February 09, 2016
"Home Again" was a heartbreakingly lovely episode, a showcase of Gillian Anderson's acting as well as the many layers and complicated emotional journey of Dana Scully.
February 09, 2016
If each of these new episodes seeks to continue the show's oldest traditions, I'm glad we were graced with one as sad as this one. It just felt right somehow.
February 23, 2016
Little more than an enjoyable mediocrity.

If Fox, Anderson and Duchovny ever decide to extend their six-episode run, it might be time for a new brain or two in the scriptwriters' room.
