This documentary series tells about Czar Nicholas II, who took over the Russian throne in 1894, who hated change and rejected modern ideas. In a short period of time, social unrest swept through Russia in the early 20th century because of what was happening, especially when Nicholas resisted the desired change, leading to a revolution and an end to the process he had begun.
