The Four: Battle for Stardom - Season 1
An exciting and powerful contest that recounts the details of its events through a series of realistic scenes among the contestants. The idea of the contest is the presence of four contestants each week who aspire to receive a large musical prize. The contestants are seeking to take their places in front of the panel of referees and experts in the world of art and music, including recording producer and songwriter Sean 'Didi' Combs, record maker DJ Khalid recording artist and Gram Grand Prize winner and Megan Trainor. The contestants try to win to win the competition.

The Four works hard (too hard?) to separate itself from other reality competitions...Our other problem with The Four is that it leaves little time to make a personal connection with the challengers.

Who needs exciting performances, compelling contestants and chemistry between judges? Not Fox's The Four: Battle for Stardom, apparently.

The biggest drawback to the frenzied structure is that it's hard to connect with any contestant, so its much-hyped battles have no emotional weight. The judges are unafraid to dole out harsh criticism, but in this context it feels kind of pointless.
