As we pick up six months later, the team has been reorganized, with Iris taking on a strong leadership role. This is the first positive change of the new season.

It's easy to tell that there was a sense of rejuvenation and revitalized energy surrounding everything. The plot wasn't dark, but the emotions ran high, and were honestly the best parts of the episode.

The Flash Reborn was definitely an encouraging start for the season.

I was most pleased with the character development that Iris was given during this episode and the fact that the Flash writers are finally paying attention to her.

That this is how the 'Barry in jail' saga wraps up is ridiculous, making this easily one of the dumbest plots The Flash has ever attempted.

The episode is bright and hopeful. Its story is much more balanced, and characters who aren't Barry finally seem to have their own narrative purpose.
