The series revolves around researcher Abby Arkan, who returns to her home in Homa, Louisiana, for a new assignment. Abe begins investigating a deadly virus carried by the swamp where she works with Alec Holland to achieve it. In the end, Abby will discover that the quagmire carries strange mysteries and is perhaps terrifying and utterly fantastic.
