Star Trek: Discovery - Season 2 Episode 10: The Red Angel
The second season of the science fiction series presents strong and complementary scenes from the previous season. The season begins as Discovery joins Captain Pike to reveal a great mystery Yidbo Gharib. The puzzle seems to be seven mysterious red signals that have appeared throughout the universe in a very diffuse manner. On the other hand, it seems that Encene Tilly will meet an unexpected visitor in need of help and perhaps it may be something mysterious.

This show... Is complicated.
March 22, 2019
Sonequa Martin-Green, who doesn't always get challenged on this series, does some terrific work here.
March 22, 2019
Star Trek: Discovery has turned a confusing time travel story into an emotional one about a family. Which is totally brilliant.
March 22, 2019
As Spock would say, this is highly illogical.

But regardless of my personal feelings about time travel being the Deus Ex Machina of life, I really enjoyed this episode and I can't wait to know more.
March 22, 2019
The strongest part of the episode was easily the performance of Sonequa Martin-Green... She had an entire episode on her shoulders and delivered.
March 22, 2019
I am still completely flabbergasted by how many horrible choices were crammed into this week's installment.
March 22, 2019
One of the messiest episodes Discovery has ever done, as it paradoxically drags and dashes through a bunch of plot threads it barely has time to entertain.
March 22, 2019
Despite the fact that so much happened this episode that I probably can't even recap it all in one post (at least not one with a decent word count), we got so many lovely character-driven scenes.
March 22, 2019
Talk is the name of the game this week. Talk and exposition. Which is fine to a degree.

[W]hat this episode lacks in naturalism, it makes up for in its embrace of the heightened reality and big emotions that undergird "Terra Firma"'s high concept premise.
