G.I. Joe - Season 1
There is more action and adventure that we are experiencing through the creation of this series of animations with special forces fighting the Cobra terrorist forces that are working to destroy the world. The series begins at the Delta Space Station, where Dusty, Bozer and Mot are working on warning Joe's team of a new plan being orchestrated by the Cobra gang. Cobra plans to plant cubes in strategic locations to create a pyramid of darkness, where they plan again to destroy the world in darkness.

The show isn't very complex, but the nonstop explosions are exciting -- which means it will still have plenty of appeal for young viewers who've been raised with quick-cut action movies.

This is some of the goofiest stuff I've ever seen, even grading on the nostalgia scale. It's inoffensive enough, to be sure, but hardly anything worth revering.

Somewhere in my sharp recall of 'Yo Joe!' battle cries and racial/gender stereotypes, I missed the substance of a fantastic cartoon with a rich plot-line, solid artwork, and fairly robust character personalities.

All disquieting factors momentarily set aside, G.I. Joe featured impressive animation for the time, dedicated voice actors delivering solid performances and fairly sophisticated scripts for a cartoon.

G.I. Joe stands out without having to go too shiny or too flashy to get kids to watch. It just is, and that's enough.
