Boardwalk Empire - Season 4
The fourth season returns to Atlantic City in February 1924. Nucky, preferring to stay in his room up in the Albatross Hotel and away from the boardwalk, comes to a peace agreement with Masseria and Rothstein. Richard, on his way home to reunite with his sister, leaves some corpses in his wake. Van Alden is ordered to keep an eye on the Capone';;s. Dr. Valentin Narcisse arrives in town with nothing but trouble with him.

I can safely say the season of Boardwalk Empire that ended last night was, by far, its best.

Inevitably, it reveals itself as a show with a firm grasp on all these disparate people and places, and a clear sense of how to fit them all together.

The moral dimension is missing from nearly all of Boardwalk Empire's characters, who murder and maim, if somewhat discriminately.

This might be Boardwalk Empire at its peak, but its peak remains much lower than other shows of its ilk. It's an 'A' season from a 'B+' show.
