The new season begins when Cheerleaders Hell Week, Alex and Radon compete for midfield, and Thad is investigating after being sexually assaulted. It appears that Thad has faced a bad path when he tried to re-intercept, although most of the team is trying to prevent it. Meanwhile, Sami faces a previous BMS talisman from the 1990s that is now homeless and is already trying to change course.
