The series revolves around Alice, an ambitious singer who arrives in Phoenix with her teenage son Tommy. Within a short time after her truck driver's husband dies, Alice is employed in a restaurant owned by Mel Sharps. Alice has more bad adventures and the trials of the ambitious singer and her colleagues in this perfect restaurant for her.
