The second season is exploring more drama as Tony asks his friends and colleagues the place without sympathy here. In those moments, Tony wrestles with what it means to move forward, as Tony appears intent on being gentle in that period, but he's still struggling for happiness that he seems to be missing for a while. At one point, Tony attends a Zen meditation session with Matt.

After Life season 2 still boasts terrific performances (particularly from Gervais and Wilton), some laughs and touching moments, but it has nothing more to say or expand on from the first season.
