Lethal Weapon
Working on the same case of the murder of a young girl strengthen the friendship of two depressed and contradicted cops, who struggle against the boring life they have, as they have to cooperate in order to solve the case and they mange to find out a dangerous drugs gang, the thing that leads them to be well known cops.

Unfortunately, while Black's assembled all the parts, he's not locked in the conflict early enough, and the good scenes simply aren't enough good to make up for the plot's too-late lock.
