The pilot was great - good plot with lots of fighting-the-alien-conspiracy potential, a fantastic cast, solid dialogue. But it quickly got very repetitive, in just the 10 or so episodes that aired.

For all the atmospheric weirdness and bursts of crazy violence that fill the show, it isn't until the end of the first hour that one gets a genuine sense of excitement... This mood is not sustained.

Despite a great group of actors and decent writing, Threshold doesn't move beyond average sci-fi fare. That doesn't mean it's not entertaining, especially for fans of the genre, but viewers looking for something really special should go elsewhere.
