Through a chain of dramatic and exciting events, this series follows the daily life inside a famous law firm at Memphis. The head of the firm is the intelligent lawyer Elijah Strait. With the help of his daughter, Sydney, they solve the most controversial cases that regard to civil rights.

[Jimmy] Smits is solid enough as the patriarch of Bluff City Law while [Caitlin] McGee also makes her presence felt in some scenes. Overall, though, this is yet another same old, same old broadcast network drama series.
