King Rudolf V of Ruritania is suddenly abducted just days before his coronation is to take place. Rudolf Rassendyl, the King's distant cousin, an Englishman vacationing in a Ruritarian kingdom, is recruited to impersonate him. But King's fiancée, Princess Flavia, is not foolish.
