The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning
A grief-stricken King Triton outlaws music in the wake of the death of his wife. However, his youngest daughter, named Ariel, discovers her love to an underground music club and sets off to a daring adventure to bring restoration of music back to Atlantica.

Should Disney continue with other straight-to-DVD sequels or prequels like this one, "Bambi II"....needs to be required viewing. A close relationship between characters, as with Bambi and his father, works. An insufferable Flounder does not.
