The Girl King
The Girl King is the modern portrait of the famous and extravagant real queen Kristina of Sweden. Brilliant, androgynous, and very likely queer, the young queen rose to power after the death of her father, King Gustav. The movie shows how she fought against the conservative opposition that rejected her ideas to change Sweden and her deviant sexuality.
