The Bromley Boys
In a comedy and exciting atmosphere, this movie follows a young boy named David Roberts who loves the local team of his town, Bromley FC. Although the English people are busy supporting the national England team during the World Cup, he doesn't stop seeking behind his favorite team.

It's very light and all a bit TV, with a seemingly interminable second act. Yet the characters are so affectionately drawn and so sweetly played that you forgive the conspicuous lapses.

If you do feel you need a football fix in what for some of us is a brief, blessed respite before the World Cup, I recommend it for its warmth and knockabout energy - and a great soundtrack.
