In 1956 a small group of missionaries made worldwide history when they took on the task of helping the fledgling Australian basketball team compete in their first ever Olympics. In so doing, they unite a nation still reeling from the aftermath of World War II.

Writer-director J.D. Scott creates scene after scene of ponderous piety, leavened only by the unintended comedy from the ham-fisted melodramatics and the ludicrous staging of the team's on-court performances.
