This movie revolves around Charley Thompson, a fifteen - year - old guy and his father, Ray, who suffer from heard times they face due to the difficulty they have to earn their living. Searching for a new start, the son and his father, move to Portland, Oregon, where Charley finds a suitable job with a horse trainer in' Lean on Pete'.
