Baja (2018)
Four 22-year-olds young get their hands on an extravagance RV for winter break and set out toward Cabo. Each one of them has his own particular young plan: sex, cash, love. A progression of comedic misfortunes opens them to further yearnings and the miracles of nature.

The scenery's pleasant and the actors are mostly likable. If "Baja" had been made in the '60s, it would have some kitsch appeal. It's easy watching, for anyone who needs a little mind-vacation.

Vidal doesn't sufficiently mine the buddy dynamic. He's more interested in the romantic side of things, which would have been fine if his female characters weren't so boring and one-dimensional.

Baja doesn't have the most original plot nor an overarching style. But the characters are really likable, the actors' chemistry is off the charts, and the cordial ambiance invites the viewer to lay back and have a good time.
