Angels In The Outfield
Roger is a foster child whose irresponsible father promises to get his act together when Roger's favorite baseball team, the California Angels, wins the pennant. Taking his father's words literally, Roger prays for God to help the Angels win. And angels are assigned to make that possible.

Uplifting (for some) fantasy-comedy-drama. Stick with original version from 1950s.

Serviceable, but why does Tony Danza have to die?

Terrible fantasy. Full of depressing things like orphans and death. No amount of angels can uplift that.
