Johnny Cash is one of my heroes. I'll listen to anything by Cash, he bears repeating, whereas I can't listen to Leonard Cohen any more, or even Bob Dylan. They spoke to a mood at the time which is no longer my mood now - the tonal quality is a slight whine, which I find irritating now. But Cash, and John Lennon too, I still find completely captivating.
