Olivia Shyan was born in Kuala Lumpur, of American, Spanish, Thai and Chinese descent. She first got her taste in the entertainment industry at the age of 17 playing lead and supporting roles in Malay dramas.Opportunity came, and she played the small role of Shu, in Marco Polo(2014) for Netflix.She is also the face of Sony Malaysia, H.ear On series (2016) .These days, she's been emceeing and hosting actively.Olivia Shyan also took part in the Miss Malaysia World 2014 pageant where she placed in Top 5 out of 23 girls and won the Miss Photogenic title.
