Jonathan produced live television specials in Canada and the United States before being named Managing Director at The Hollywood-Madison Group, a Los Angeles public relations consultancy specializing in celebrity endorsements.For more than a decade, Jonathan developed celebrity-driven campaigns for top brands including Procter & Gamble, the Getty Museum, and Sony Corporation, featuring stars like Martin Scorsese, Dennis Hopper, and Diane Keaton.In 2008, Jonathan began work on a documentary about his late father, Saul Holiff, Johnny Cash's longtime manager (he put Johnny together with June). In 2013, "My Father and The Man In Black" was released in theatres in the United Kingdom, and in the United States where it qualified for the "Oscars."In 2016, Jonathan donated his father's materials to the University of Victoria's McPherson Library. In 2017, the book "The Man Who Carried Cash: Saul Holiff, Johnny Cash, and the Making of an American Icon (Dundurn)," by Julie Chadwick, was released.In 2018, the "Saul Holiff Archives" was launched at UVic with the exhibit, "Volatile Attractions: Saul Holiff, Johnny Cash, and Managing a Music Legend."
