Jassem Mougari was born on May 17th 1996 in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis, France. His father worked as a lorry driver and his mother was a cleaner. He dropped out the school at the age of 16 and did various jobs to earn money beside his acting career.He studied acting at the Insieme Carpe Dieme in Paris, where he learned Strasberg's "Method Acting".
