Gavin Alexander Hammon is a global actor who has participated in television, film, theater and commercials. Born in Munich, Germany, Gavin moved around a lot as a child. By the time he was three, Gavin and his South African born parents had moved to Paris and the South of France. While his family stayed in France, an excellent school was found in Scotland for Gavin and his brother to attend, so for many of his childhood years, he traveled back and forth between France and Scotland. In the 10 years at school, Gavin was extremely active, playing sports :Tennis, Soccer, Squash, Rugby, Field Hockey and Cricket. He even played in trials for Scottish Rugby Schools and won the British Fives championship.Around the time he finished high school, Gavin's parents decided they wanted to move back to South Africa to retire. Living in South Africa for 10 years, during that time Gavin attended the University of Cape Town and studied Drama in the Theatre department. It was the start of achieving his dream:"I was trying to figure out how on earth I was going to make enough money to enable living in the United States of America. Which was always my dream. I worked in a restaurant for some time to make some extra spending money. One day on my shift I was lucky enough to serve a lady that owned a modeling and talent agency. She offered to get me started and that led to a radical increase in income and 10 years of traveling the world, from London to Cape Town and Tokyo to Los Angeles. With many cities in between. This was a great opportunity to see the world and experience many different cultures & countries. Eventually all the visas led to a Green card and on the 18th of July 2014, I was sworn in as an American citizen. I am very proud to say!"Through his travels and experiences Gavin has accumulated an abundance of skills in theater, film and television.When Gavin isn't memorizing lines or on set he is a devoted father to his beautiful daughter, a real estate agent for the prestigious Corcoran Group in NYC, and an active runner and swimmer.He lives in the East Village with his family.
