Damon Burks grew up in Water Valley Miss. His most recent roles were in If These Porches Could Talk and in Son of a Gun in role of Southern Gentleman with Running Wild Films now on Amazon Prime. Damon is a volunteer for the Oxford Film Festival as Documentary Coordinator and Executive Producer of the 2020 film festival short SAG film The Golden Years. Damon won an award for Volunteer of the year from the Oxford film Festival 2019.Played the role of Dixie mafia member Benny Heckman in Cornbread Cosa Nostra with Running Wild Films now on Amazon prime. The 1st episode "Becoming Bukka" by Deep Fried Films won an award at the 2019 Grenada Afterglow Film Festival. He is taking acting classes from Cotton Yancey in Jackson MS. Damon has also been a Assistant Director, Line Producer and Casting Director on short film projects.
