After attending business college, Kurtis went on to work for an insurance firm for three and a half years. Dalene started her modeling career in 2000 by entering and winning a Venus Swimwear competition. In January, 2001 Kurtis moved to Santa Monica, California and landed a job modeling for Budweiser beer. Dalene was discovered by one of Hugh M. Hefner's friends as a participant in a Miss Hawaiian Tropic pageant. Kurtis was the Playmate of the Month in the September, 2001 issue of Playboy. She was named Playmate of the Year in 2002. A successful fashion designer and jewelry entrepreneur, Dalene is also a spokes model for the tanning salon chain Hollywood Tans. The mother of a son, Kurtis resides in Beverly Hills, California. Hide
