Chris Ruiz was born in Detroit where he spent the first 5 years of his life. His family picked up and left and moved to Troy, Michigan. His father, Chuck, worked for Chrysler and his mother, Joanne, worked part time at a local Elementary School. Athletic since his childhood he continues to stay active and loves to take on any physical challenge.
