Alyssa Rose Esposito, born in the Bronx, New York, to SaraJane (Donnelly) and Gary Esposito. Her mother is of Italian and Irish decent and father is of Italian and Puerto Rican decent. Both parents born and raised in the Bronx. In 1999 the family moved to Safety Harbor, Florida where they lived until 2011.
